Innostream INNO P10

The Innostream Inno P10 looks as if it stepped out of a science fiction movie. It features what the company calls "dynamic dual speakers" which certainly look impressive. Its claimed that they are dual stereo speakers which support 3D sound. The design of the handset is a slider; the keypad which is dual colored is also stylish and different. The Inno P10 itself is a tri-band GSM handset which will allow its user to roam the world and hook onto any GSM network (GSM 900 / 1800 and 1900). The single large display is of 128 x 160 pixels and has the capability to display 256,000 colors.

The 1.3 Mega pixel camera which can also capture video is supported by a flash for those conditions which are less then ideal for capturing a snap. The video capture facility is feasible for upto 90 minutes of recording. In case the internal memory of the phone is not sufficient, the user thankfully has the option of using a RS-MMC card; slot for which has been included in the handset. Since much has been written about the speakers of the P10, the handset allows you to take full advantage of them by including software to play Mp3 and Mp4 files. Amongst the organiser features; voice memo, bio-rhythm, stopwatch and calendar are some of the ones that are included. In case the user wishes to have extended functionality then he is free to install Third party Java applications (since Inno P10 is Java MIDP 2.0 compliant). The phone like several PDAs also has a "flight mode" which allows you to keep it switched on even in-flight without interfering with the aircrafts communications. The P10 has a built-in dictionary which helps in translation from English to Chinese and vice-versa.

The Inno P10 is certainly one of the most ambitious offerings from this Korean company till date. Whether the risk pays off in the long term is something that has to be seen.
