Motorola PEBL U6

Motorola PEBL U6 features and review. Also known as Motorola PEBL V6. Motorola PEBL U6 features and review. Also known as Motorola PEBL V6.

Created with a smooth oval form and innovative dual-hinge mechanism to open and close the device with one swift, delicate motion, this handset is a true mobile accessory. Its sophisticated look and feel are complemented by discreet hi-tech capabilities including video capture and playback, Bluetooth wireless technology and high-speed EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) data services With chic simplicity, the subtly stylish Motorola PEBL U6 adds a calming convenience to your everyday travels. The feature-forward Motorola PEBL U6 harnesses the power of EDGE so that, in mere moments, you can download data with ease, peruse the World Wide Web and share multimedia files without pause. Adding expedience to innovation, Bluetooth technology delivers seamless connections to compatible headsets and car kits, while Motorola's dynamic idle solution provides zero-click access to news, sports, entertainment, and weather -- your favorite content available 24/7 on your phone's home screen, keeping you up-to-date and in-the-know!

So whats the Motorola U6 really about? Well its a fashion phone, so dont really concentrate on the features. They are just a side accompaniment. If you really insist, well theres about 5 megs of built-in memory, GPRS & WAP. Oh and J2ME is also supported so you can download the latest third party applications for use. More importantly the styling is simply superb. The radically designed keypad looks cool at the same time is not necessarily complex to use; like other fashion based phones. The integrated VGA camera allows you to capture snaps of your favorite people and use them in the Picture calling ID.

A few words from Mobileburn.com who has had occassion to use the phone "In addition to the polished finish that makes the phone nearly impossible to photograph well using studio lights, the PEBL U6 also sports a rather unique hinge design that makes use of a combination of magnets, springs, and damping devices. You open the PEBL by pulling the top half of the clamshell a quarter of an inch towards the bottom of the device, which moves it beyond the reach of the magnetic latch that keeps it closed. Then the spring and damping devices take over, allowing the device to open up smoothly on its own power."
