Camera-like, and sliding keypad are the two major design trends in 2004. The new Panasonic X500 includes two of them. In standby mode, we can only see the screen and the controlling menu keys. Just one press in left hand side, you can slide the keypad down to make a call. If you want to take a picture, very simple, close the slider and press the dedicated key in right size to activate the camera. You can turn the phone in horizontal mode for easy photo taking. The photo light is ready to use when snap shooting in the dark area. The phone supports 4x digital zoom. Users can make a short video clip in M-JPEG format. However, the format is not a 3GPP standard. Many users will find it not possible to  receive such format video MMS.
