Panasonic X700 mobile phone features and reviews Panasonic X700 mobile phone features and reviews

The X700 is Panasonic's first GSM Symbian smartphone and uses the Nokia Series 60 UI. The X700 is also one of the first Symbian devices that comes in a clamshell form-factor. It looks very similar to Panasonic's earlier X70 model, and shouldn't be too much larger either.

The X700 also has a built-in VGA digital camera, photo light and 65,536 colour TFT display screen, as well as an external color screen. Users will be able to edit images directly on their phone, and store them on a miniSD card. Video capture, download, and playback features are also available on the X700.

The X700 supports MMS, email, IR, and Bluetooth, allowing users to send photos and documents to a PC or MMS enabled phone. Its Bluetooth capability also allows wireless connectivity through a headset and when connecting remotely through a laptop.

Panasonic have bundled applications which will let you edit Microsoft Office files directly on the X700, which is a handy feature for most people. Java application support is also present, along with one of the first speaker independent voice recognition systems, to ease the dialling of numbers from the phonebook and to control some of the functions in the phone, all without having to train it first.
